The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest wonders of the world and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1987. The Wall winds over 5,000km across the deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus from east to west China. The Great Wall at Jinshanling is one of the best-preserved sections with many original features still in tact. The steps of the Great Wall at Jinshanling are rather steep and rocky at times. Hikers should be in good physical condition.
