The Brahmaputra River is one of the major rivers of Asia and an important source for transportation and irrigation. Covering areas in Tibet, India and Bangladesh, the river is known by a different name in each country it passes through. The river flows approximately 2,900km from its source in Tibet to the mouth of the Bay of Bengal in Bangladesh, out of which 918km lies within India. DAY 1: ARRIVE KOLKATA

Upon arrival in Kolkata you will be met and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: KOLKATA TO TEZPUR

Rise early this morning and transfer to the airport for your flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival you will met by a local representative and transferred to Tezpur to board the MV Manashputra, stopping for lunch en route. (B,L,D)

DAY 3: TEZPUR TO KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Explore the city of Tezpur, visiting the 6thcentury ruins of the door frame of Daprabatia Temple and Cole Park. Return to the cruise vessel and continue cruising to Silghat. After lunch, enjoy an excursion to Kaziranga National Park on a jeep safari. Spend the night onboard in Silghat. (B,L,D)

DAY 4: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Rise early for an elephant safari through the park where you may spot a One-Horned Rhino. Return to the cruise vessel for breakfast whilst cruising further upstream, mooring overnight near a deserted sand island. (B,L,D)

DAY 5: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK TO DHANSIRIMUKH

Continue cruising upstream whilst enjoying breakfast and lunch onboard. Stop at the riverside village of Mishing, a native Assam village. Take a walk through the village and witness the daily life of the locals. Stay overnight in Dhansirimukh. (B,L,D)

DAY 6: DHANSIRIMUKH - CRUISING

Continue cruising today whilst appreciating the picturesque scenery along the Brahmaputra River. Participate in the activities provided onboard or enjoy free time at your leisure. (B,L,D)

DAY 7: MAJULI TO NEEMATI GHAT

Today you will visit Majuli, the largest human inhabited river island in the world. Traditions are kept alive by the monks living in the monasteries, locally known as Sattra. Whilst here, visit these monasteries and interact with the monks. Return to the cruise vessel for lunch and continue cruising to Neemati Ghat (Jorhat). (B,L,D)

DAY 8: NEEMATI GHAT - SIVASAGAR

After an early breakfast, take a shore excursion to Sivasagar. Visit the ruins of the Ahom Kingdom, including the Shiva Temple, Rang Ghar and the man-made lake of Borpukhuri. Later, visit Toklai Tea Experimental Station in Jorhat before wandering through Jorhat Market. Enjoy a farewell dinner this evening. (B,L,D)

DAY 9: NEEMATI GHAT TO KOLKATA

Disembark the MV Manashputra early this morning and transfer to Dibrugarh airport for your flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. (B)

DAY 10: DEPART KOLKALA

After check-out this morning you will be transferred to Kolkata airport where your arrangements end. (B)
