The exciting city of Chiang Mai is located on the ping River and is the most culturally significant city in northern Thailand. Visit ancient temples, local villages and the Chiang Dao elephant camp, where you will witness the elephants in natural surroundings.
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: ARRIVE CHIANG MAI
Make your own way to your Chiang Mai hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
DAY 2: CHIANG MAI
Visit Wat Doi Suthep, Wat Chedi Luang and a handicraft village. Lunch will consist of Khao Soy Noodles, a northern Thailand specialty. The afternoon is free at your leisure. (B,L)
DAY 3: CHIANG MAI – CHIANG DAO ELEPHANT CAMP
Travel to Chiang Dao Elephant Camp, where you will take an elephant ride, watch an elephant show and enjoy a gentle ride on a bamboo raft along the Ping River. This evening enjoy a performance of traditional song and dance at dinner. (B,D)
DAY 4: DEPART CHIANG MAI
After check-out this morning your arrangements end. (B)
