TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Australia to Shanghai

Fly with Air China to Shanghai for a two night stay. 

Day 2: Shanghai

Further explore this exciting city with a visit to the Yu Gardens and the Old Town. Stroll along the famous Bund and enjoy some shopping along Nanjing Road. This afternoon visit to the Jinmao Tower before enjoying an evening cruise on the stunning Huangpu River. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Shanghai to Xian

Fly to Xian this morning where upon arrival visit the Little Wild Goose Pagoda. (B,L)

Day 4: Xian

Visit one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th Century, the life-size Terracotta Warriors. Later this afternoon enjoy a stroll along the ancient City Wall before visiting the Muslim Quarter. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Xian to Beijing

Fly to Beijing. Upon arrival enjoy a visit to the Temple of Heaven. (B,L)

Day 6: Beijing

Today you will take an exciting walk on the Juyongguan pass of the Great Wall of China. Later this afternoon enjoy a rickshaw ride through the traditional Hutong areas. (B,L)

Day 7: Beijing

Visit the Forbidden City and stroll along famous Tiananmen Square past Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum and visit the Silk Market. In the evening we enjoy a sample of the local delicacy ‘Peking Duck’. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Beijing

Enjoy the morning at leisure before transferring to Beijing airport to board your overnight flight back to Australia. (B)

Day 9: Arrive Australia

Arrive home this morning.
