Your welcome dinner will be a banquet of traditional Shanghai cuisine. DAY 3: SHANGHAIVisit the Yu Gardens, the antiques and fine arts at the Shanghai Museum, the Old Town and the Xintiandi area. DAY 4: SHANGHAI TO SUZHOUTravel to Suzhou where you will visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden and the Master of the Nets Garden. Stop at a traditional silk mill and later cruise along the Grand Canal. DAY 5: SUZHOU TO HANGZHOUJourney to Hangzhou where you will stroll through the local markets and enjoy oriental tea-tasting. DAY 6: HANGZHOUVisit the Temple of Inspired Seclusion, Hu Xueyan's Residence and relax on a cruise on West Lake. DAY 14: KUNMING TO CHONGQINGSee the Western Hills, often called the ‘Sleeping Beauty Hills’ as they resemble a woman’s prone body wrapped around Dianchi Lake. Later you will fly to Chongqing, China’s most populated city. DAY 15: CHONGQING – DAZUTravel to Dazu and see the Beishan Frescoes and Baodin Stone Carvings. This afternoon return to Chongqing. DAY 16: CHONGQING TO CHENGDUSee the sights of Chongqing city including Erlin Park, the People’s Hall and the General Stilwell Museum before driving to Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan Province. DAY 17: CHENGDU – LESHANTravel to Leshan to see the Grand Buddha, an enormous statue hewn from the side of the Lingyun Mountain. Later you will visit Huanglongxi, an ancient town, before returning to Chengdu. This evening enjoy a sumptuous Sichuan banquet. DAY 18: CHENGDUVisit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to see these famous animals in an environment similar to their natural habitat. Later, visit a local bamboo park. DAY 19: CHENGDU TO XIANTour the city of Chengdu before boarding your overnight soft sleeper train to Xian. DAY 20: XIANArrive in Xian this morning and visit the Little Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening feast on a traditional Shui Jiao Dumpling banquet while watching a performance of music and dance dating back to the Tang Dynasty.
