DAY 1: COLOMBO TO NUWARA ELIYA

This morning you will be met at your Colombo hotel and will enjoy a tour of the city. Continue to Nuwara Eliya this afternoon, visiting a tea plantation and a tea factory en route. (L,D)

DAYS 2-3: NUWARA ELIYA TO YALA NATIONAL PARK

Visit the Sita Amman Temple and Hakgala Botanical Gardens this morning. Later you will leave for Yala (Ruhuna) National Park, famous for its Asian Elephants, leopards and crocodiles. (B,L,D) Tomorrow you will experience a morning and afternoon safari around the park. (B,L,D)

DAY 4: YALA NATIONAL PARK - UDAWALAWE NATIONAL PARK

Travel to Udawalawe National Park today, famous for its elephant population. Enjoy a safari around the park this afternoon. (B,L,D)

DAYS 5-6: YALA NATIONAL PARK TO RATNAPURA

This morning drive to Ratnapura where the famous Ceylon Sapphires are mined. (B,L,D) Tomorrow morning you will tour the Sinharaja Forest Reserve (Kingdom of the Lion). Return to Ratnapura for the night. (B,L,D)

DAY 7: RATNAPURA TO GALLE

Drive to Galle and explore the city, visiting the lighthouse, the Old Town and the UNESCO World Heritage listed Dutch Fort. (B,L)

DAY 8: GALLE TO COLOMBO

After check-out this morning you will be transferred to your Colombo hotel or airport where your arrangements end. (B)
