During the vietnam War, vung Tau was home to the Australian Army and was a popular spot for R&R. The long Tan Cross commemorates the Australian soldiers that lost their lives during the fierce battle between the Australian Army and viet Cong forces.
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: SAIGON TO VUNG TAU
This morning you will be met at your Saigon hotel and transferred to Vung Tau. Later you will enjoy a city tour, visiting Bach Dinh and the Reclining Buddha. (L)
DAY 2: VUNG TAU – NUI DAT AND LONG TAN
See the former Australian army base of Nui Dat and the Long Tan Battlefield, where you will see the Long Tan Cross. (B,L)
DAY 3: VUNG TAU TO SAIGON
After check-out this morning you will be transferred back to your Saigon hotel where your arrangements end. (B)
