Xiamen boasts beautiful natural scenery and an abundance of outdoor sightseeing activities. Nanjing lies on the south bank of the Yangtze River and was as the capital city for several dynasties in ancient Chinese history, giving the city a rich cultural heritage.
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: ARRIVE XIAMEN
Upon arrival at Xiamen airport this morning you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tour the city this afternoon including the South Putuo Temple, Hulishan Cannon Fortress, the Coast Road and enjoy a Kung-Fu tea-tasting.
DAY 2: XIAMEN TO NANJING
Travel to Nanjing today stopping in Yongding en route. Yongding is the heartland of the Hakka people and the earthen houses, known as Tu Lous, a unique style of Chinese communal architecture. Here you will visit a cluster of Tu Lous, including Zhengcheng Lou, Chengqi Lou and Kuiju Lou before continuing on to Nanjing for an overnight stay. (B,L)
DAY 3: NANJING TO XIAMEN
This morning you will visit the Nanjing Tianluokeng cluster of Tu Lous and Yuchang Lou before returning to Xiamen for an overnight stay. (B,L)
DAY 4: XIAMEN
Take the ferry across to Gulangyu Island today. Whilst here visit Hi- Heaven complex and enjoy a puppet show. You will also visit Shuzhuang Garden, Guanfu Classic Art Museum, the Organ Museum, a music hall and Sanyi Church. (B,L)
DAY 5: DEPART XIAMEN
This morning you will visit the Huihe Stone Cutural Park. Later, you will be transferred to Xiamen airport where your arrangements end. (B)
