In just over two hours fly from Punta Arenas to King George Island, you are at the gates of the White Continent. Ideal for clients short on time and for others who wish to avoid sailing across the Drake Passage. Cruise for 6 days along the Antarctic Peninsula with its ice-filled fjords and spectacular icebergs whilst marvelling at the wildlife.

  • Day 1
    ARRIVE PUNTA ARENAS
    DAY 1: ARRIVE PUNTA ARENAS

    Arrive in Punta Arenas and transfer to your hotel. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner and briefing about preparing for your embarkation day. (D)

  • Day 2
    KING GEORGE ISLAND & EMBARKATION
    DAY 2: KING GEORGE ISLAND & EMBARKATION

    Board your charter flight to Antarctica. Cross the legendary Drake Passage in only a few hours and experience your first glimpse of the dramatic Antarctic landscapes as the plane descends for landing in the South Shetland Islands. After landing, walk 1.6km to the shore, before being transferred by Zodiac to your ship to set sail for the Antarctic Peninsula. (B,L,D)

  • Days 3-6
    ANTARCTIC PENINSULA & SOUTH SHETLAND ISLANDS
    DAYS 3-6: ANTARCTIC PENINSULA & SOUTH SHETLAND ISLANDS

    Experience the wonder of Antarctica as your ship cruises around the Peninsula and South Shetland Islands. Spend the days exploring as each day and landing will be different as it is dependent on weather. Your Captain and Expedition Team are on hand to keep a lookout for whales, seabirds and any new sightings. Whilst on board attend lectures presented by a team of experts who will deepen your experience with explanations of the glaciology, history, and wildlife of the region. (B,L,D)

  • Day 7
    DISEMBARKATION & FLY TO PUNTA ARENAS
    DAY 7: DISEMBARKATION & FLY TO PUNTA ARENAS

    After a week of exploring, farewell your Expedition Team and disembark at King George Island. Return to Punta Arenas on the two-hour flight across the Drake Passage. On arrival in Punta Arenas, you will be transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day and evening is at leisure. (B)
