Situated in the sub-tropical lowlands of the Terai, Chitwan National Park offers elephant safaris, nature walks and tours by both jeep and boat. While the park is open year-round, the best time to visit is between October and May when you can appreciate nature at its finest.

Short Stay itinerary

This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.

DAY 1: KATHMANDU TO CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

This morning you will be met at your Kathmandu hotel and transferred to Chitwan National Park (approximately 5-6 hours drive). Later enjoy a jungle safari by elephant ride or a nature walk, depending on your arrival time. (L,D)

DAY 2: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

Begin your day with an early morning nature walk. Visit the elephant stables, enjoy a canoe ride along the river and watch the elephants bathing. Enjoy a traditional dance performance and a campfire dinner this evening. (B,L,D)

DAY 3: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK TO KATHMANDU

This morning you will be transferred to back to your Kathmandu hotel or the airport (approximately 5-6 hours drive) where your arrangements end. (B)
