Short Stay itinerary
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI
Upon arrival at Delhi airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a two night stay.
DAY 2: DELHI
Drive past the Red Fort and visit Jama Masjid. Sample the local specialty, Wazwan, for lunch at Chor Bizarre restaurant and visit a local family home for a cooking lesson this evening. (B,L,D)
DAYS 3-4: DELHI TO AGRA
Drive to Agra and visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed Agra Fort. This evening, sample a wide variety of local kebab dishes. (B,D) Tomorrow, rise early to view the Taj Mahal as the sun is rising. Lunch will be at Dasaprakash, a south Indian specialty restaurant. The remainder of the
DAY 5: AGRA TO JAIPUR
Travel to Jaipur, visiting Fatehpur Sikri en route. Stop in Bharatpur for a traditional Rajasthani meal for lunch. Visit the home of a rural family before continuing to Jaipur. (B,L)
DAY 6: JAIPUR
Visit Amer Fort, the City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Enjoy a live demonstration of Rajasthani cooking during dinner. (B,D)
DAY 7: JAIPUR TO JODHPUR
Drive to Jodhpur, known as the ‘Blue City’. (B)
DAY 8: JODHPUR
Visit Mehrangarh Fort before sampling Marwari and Rajasthani food at a local family home for lunch. This afternoon visit Mandore Gardens and the Sardar Market. (B,L)
DAY 9: JODHPUR TO UDAIPUR
Drive to Udaipur, visiting the Jain temples at Ranakpur en route. Enjoy a Bollywood lunch experience at Mana Ranakpur. (B,L,D)
DAY 10: UDAIPUR
Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion Ki Bari Gardens. Later, enjoy a cooking demonstration and cruise on Lake Pichola. (B,L)
DAY 11: depart UDAIPUR
