This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: ARRIVE MUMBAI
Upon arrival at Mumbai airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
DAY 2: MUMBAI
Enjoy a tour of Mumbai and its surroundings. Visit the Gateway of India, the rock-cut temples at Elephanta Caves, Kamala Nehru Park and Mani Bhavan, where Mahatma Gandhi stayed. Continue with a visit to the Dhobi Ghat where Mumbai’s ‘dirties’ are scrubbed, bashed, dyed and hung out to dry. Finish the day at the colourful Crawford Market and the exquisitely sculptured Flora Fountain. (B,L)
DAY 3: DEPART MUMBAI
After check-out this morning you will be transferred to Mumbai airport where your arrangements end. (B)
Elephanta Caves are closed on Mondays year-round and from July to August every year.
