Short Stay itinerary
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: DELHI TO AGRA
This morning you will be met at your Delhi hotel and transferred to Agra (approximately 3-4 hours), stopping en route at Sikandra to visit the marble tomb of Emperor Akbar. Upon arrival in Agra check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure. (L)
DAY 2: AGRA
Rise early to view the Taj Mahal in all its glory at sunrise. The Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his third wife. Witness the marble change colour as the sun rises. Later you will visit a marble inlay workshop and the 16th-century Agra Fort, founded by Emperor Akbar. Enjoy the remainder of the day free at your leisure. (B)
DAY 3: AGRA TO JAIPUR
Drive to Jaipur (approximately 4 hours), stopping at the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri en route. (B,L)
DAY 4: JAIPUR
Tour Jaipur, beginning with a stop at Hawa Mahal, also known as the ‘Palace of the Winds’, before travelling to Amer Fort. Continue to the City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the local bazaar inside the walled city.(B)
DAY 5: JAIPUR TO BIJAYNAGAR
Commence the drive to Bijaynagar, visiting Kishangarh Fort en route. This afternoon visit the local village market. (B,L)
DAY 6: BIJAYNAGAR TO KHIMSAR
Continue west to Khimsar and stay overnight in a 15th-century fortress that has been converted into a heritage hotel. (B,L)
DAY 7: KHIMSAR TO MANVAR
Travel to Manvar. Here you will enjoy a camel and jeep safari and stay overnight in a tented camp in the desert. (B,L,D)
DAY 8: MANVAR TO JODHPUR
Drive to Jodhpur, known as the ‘Blue City’ and located on the edge of the Thar Desert. (B)
DAY 9: JODHPUR
Embark on a city tour, visit the impressive Mehrangarh Fort and the museum located in the Umaid Bhawan Palace. (B)
DAY 10: JODHPUR TO DEOGARH
This morning drive to Deogarh, stopping to explore Kumbhalgarh Fort en route. This afternoon stroll the bustling streets of the village. (B,L)
DAY 11: DEOGARH TO UDAIPUR
Travel to Udaipur, visiting the Jain temple complex of Ranakpur en route. Enjoy the afternoon free at your leisure. (B,L)
DAY 12: UDAIPUR
Tour the city starting with a cruise on Lake Pichola and view the Lake Palace. Visit the City Palace, Sahelion Ki Bari Garden and the Folk Museum. This evening enjoy dinner overlooking Lake Pichola. (B,D)
DAY 13: DEPART UDAIPUR
Your arrangements end after check-out this morning. (B)
Taj Mahal (Agra) is closed on Fridays year-round, Manvar Resort will be used from mid-April until end of September if the camp is unavailable. Manvar Desert Camp is operational from 15 September to 15 April every year.
