Angkor to the BayFrom $4,355 - 16 Days, Fully Inclusive from selected Australian citiesThe immense scale and mystery of the temples at Angkor Wat complement the peace and serenity of an overnight stay on Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin on this two country visit to Cambodia and Vietnam. Commencing in Siem Reap, Cambodia, we have a unique opportunity to visit the vast network of temples at Angkor before flying to Phnom Penh, the capital of modern day Cambodia, before continuing our journey to Vietnam and the city of Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). Our time in Saigon is spent visiting the Mekong Delta and the many sites around the city of Saigon itself. Flying to Danang, the jumping off point for Hoi An and China Beach, we have time to visit this historical area before travelling by road to the ancient ‘Imperial Capital’ of Hue. Another flight brings us to Hanoi, the capital of modern day Vietnam and an enchanting colonial city sometimes referred to as the ‘Paris of the Orient’. It is from Hanoi that we travel to the Gulf of Tonkin and the World Heritage listed Halong Bay where we stay overnight on board our converted Junk boats. TOUR ITINERARYWendy Wu Tours Review: "As a whole, the tour was excellent with guides Rith and Kim giving us a great insight into the history of Cambodia and Vietnam respectively. Their organisational skills were amazing and how they kept everything running to schedule made the tour a memorable trip. Thanks for a wonderful holiday."
"This is my second tour with Wendy Wu Tours and I cannot speak highly enough her company. I did Wonders of China, 28 days and now Angkor to the Bay. Both were excellent value for money. Our guide in Vietnam, Nguyen Hung was the most pleasant and helpful guide I have encountered. His humour was an added bonus. His knowledge of the history of his country surpassed my expectations by far. He, along with Wendy Wu Tours made my holiday most enjoyable and memorable – never to be forgotten." Watch Documentary Videos of Angkor to the BayIn March 2010, Travel Daily TV reporter, Barry Matheson, travelled on our Angkor to the Bay tour to document just what it was like to travel on a fully inclusive Wendy Wu group tour to Cambodia and Vietnam. Watch the 3 part series to see what he and his travelling companions thought of their tour.
