TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: PARO TO THIMPHU

Upon arrival at Paro airport you will be met and transferred to your Thimphu hotel. (L,D)

DAY 2: THIMPHU

Commence a tour of Thimphu today, including a visit to Trashi Chhoe Dzong, the ‘Fortress of the Glorious Religion’, the National Library and the Institute for Zorig Chusum (painting school). This afternoon visit the National Memorial Chorten and the Folk Heritage and National Textile museums. (B,L,D)

DAY 3: THIMPHU TO PARO

Head back to Paro this morning and upon arrival visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watch tower. Walk down a hillside trail to Rinpung Dzong, home of the Paro Festival. (B,L,D)

DAY 4: PARO

Visit the Taktshang Monastery, known as ‘Tiger’s Nest’. The moderate hike will take all morning and lunch will be at the cafeteria located halfway up the trail. Visit Drugyal Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang on your return to Paro this afternoon. (B,L,D)

DAY 5: DEPART PARO

After check-out this morning you will be transferred to Paro airport where your arrangements end. (B)
