Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province. It is rich with culture, beautiful scenery and delicious food. Chengdu is home to the Giant Panda and no visit to this city would be complete without seeing these iconic animals at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where the staff are committed to the survival of the species. Chengdu is also the gateway to other fascinating locations such as Nine Villages Valley and Dazu.
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: ARRIVE CHENGDU
Upon arrival at Chengdu airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
DAY 2: CHENGDU
Enjoy a tour to the Panda Research Centre today to see these delightful animals being reared in surroundings reminiscent of their natural habitat. Later this afternoon you will visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project. (B,L)
DAY 3: CHENDGU - LESHAN
Travel to Leshan this morning where you will marvel at the Grand Buddha. Hewn from the side of the Lingyun Mountain, the Buddha is 71m tall and wide enough for more than 100 people to sit between its feet. (B,L)
DAY 4: DEPART CHENGDU
After check-out this morning you will be transferred to Chengdu airport where your arrangements end. (B)
