TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: AUSTRALIA TO BEIJING

Fly with China Southern Airlines to Beijing for a three-night stay.

DAY 2: BEIJING

Today we stroll through the famous Tiananmen Square past Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum and explore the Forbidden City. This afternoon we visit the 15th-century Temple of Heaven. This evening we sample the local delicacy of ‘Peking Duck’.

DAY 3: BEIJING

An often quoted saying in Beijing goes ‘you have not been to China until you have climbed the Great Wall’. Walk along the wall this morning, followed by a visit to the exquisite Summer Palace.

DAY 4: BEIJING TO XIAN

Fly to Xian where we will visit the ancient City Wall. This evening we feast on a traditional Shui Jiao Dumpling dinner, whilst enjoying a performance of music and dance from the Tang Dynasty.

DAY 5: XIAN TO SHANGHAI

Visit one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th Century, the Terracotta Warriors. Later we fly to Shanghai and enjoy a dinner of traditional Shanghai cuisine.

DAY 6: SHANGHAI

Today we explore this exciting city, visiting the Yu Gardens and the Old Town. Enjoy a stroll along the famous Bund and visit the Pudong and Xintiandi areas. As our farewell celebration this evening, we enjoy a cruise along the stunning Huangpu River.

DAY 7: DEPART SHANGHAI

This morning is free at our leisure before we transfer to Shanghai airport to board our overnight flight to Australia.

DAY 8: ARRIVE AUSTRALIA

Arrive home this morning.
