TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Australia to Beijing

Fly with Cathay Pacific to Beijing. Upon arrival transfer to our hotel.

Days 2-3: Beijing

Stroll through Tiananmen Square past Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum and explore the Forbidden City. Visit the unique Temple of Heaven and enjoy a Chinese Acrobatic Show in the evening. The next day, walk the Great Wall, which stretches for some 6,350km, and visit the exquisite Summer Palace. Also enjoy a traditional meal, which will include the local delicacy, Peking Duck.

Day 4: Beijing to Xian

Fly to the former imperial capital of Xian, where we will see the ancient City Wall; one of the best preserved in China. Experience a Tang Dynasty dancing performance in the evening.

Day 5: Xian to Shanghai

Visit one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century - the spectacular Terracotta Warriors. Fly to Shanghai and enjoy a dinner of traditional Shanghai cuisine.

Day 6: Shanghai

Spend the day in Shanghai, often referred to as the ‘Paris of the East’. In the morning explore the beautiful Yu Gardens and the Old Town. After lunch, visit the Shanghai Museum and the famous Bund, which offers an exhibition of grand architecture dating back to the early 1900’s. End the day with a stunning evening cruise on the Huangpu River.

Days 7-8: Shanghai to Australia

Depart Shanghai and arrive back in Australia the following day.

Day 1: Arrive Hong Kong

Arrival seat-in-coach transfer from the airport to your hotel.

Day 2: Hong Kong City Tour
