DAY 1: AUSTRALIA TO SAIGON

Fly with Singapore Airlines to Saigon for a four-night stay.

Adelaide passengers may need to depart one day earlier.

DAY 2: SAIGON

Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office to view the French colonial architecture. Learn more about the American War in Vietnam with a visit to the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Later, drive to Cholon (Chinatown) where you will see Thien Hau Pagoda. End the day at Ben Thanh Market for some shopping.

DAY 3: SAIGON - MEKONG DELTA

Travel to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta today. Explore the river by boat, passing stilt houses and fish farms. Paddle through palm-lined canals on sampans and walk through villages, where you can sample local tea. Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda before returning to Saigon this afternoon.

DAY 4: SAIGON - TAY NINH & CU CHI

This morning you will travel to Tay Ninh to experience the midday service at the head temple of the unique Cao Dai religion. This afternoon explore the amazing network of the Cu Chi Tunnels led by a War Veteran.

DAY 5: SAIGON TO NHA TRANG

Fly to Nha Trang where this afternoon you will visit the Cham Tower Ruins.

DAY 6: NHA TRANG

Cruise around the islands off the coast of Nha Trang today, stopping at Mun Island where you can go for a swim.

DAY 7: NHA TRANG TO HOI AN

Fly to Danang and drive to Hoi An stopping at Marble Mountains en route.

DAY 8: HOI AN

Embark on a walking tour of the charming town of Hoi An, visiting an old merchant’s home, the Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoi An Market and a Chinese temple.

DAY 9: HOI AN TO HUE

Drive over the scenic Hai Van Pass to Hue. This afternoon take a cyclo ride to the Imperial Citadel.

DAY 10: HUE

This morning you will visit the Royal Tomb of Minh Mang. Later, take a cruise along the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda.

DAY 11: HUE TO HANOI

You have some free time this morning before you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. This evening you will watch a performance of the famous Water Puppets.

DAY 12: HANOI

Today you will visit Ho Chi Minh Complex to see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep- Dec), Humble House on Stilts and One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter.

DAY 13: HANOI TO HALONG BAY

Travel to spectacular Halong Bay, where you will board an overnight junk boat. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the limestone islets.

DAY 14: HALONG BAY TO HANOI

Disembark your junk boat and travel back to Hanoi.

DAY 15: DEPART HANOI

This morning is free at your leisure until you are transferred to Hanoi airport to board your overnight flight to Australia.

DAY 16: ARRIVE AUSTRALIA

Arrive home this morning.
