Combining the vibrant and modern city of Saigon with the sleepy ancient town of Hoi An and the classical city of Hanoi, staying multiple nights in each location, this tour allows plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere of this ever changing country.

Day 1: Australia to Saigon

Fly with Singapore Airlines via Singapore to saigon for 3 nights.

Days 2-3: Saigon

Visit the Presidential Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Cholon (Chinatown), Ben Thanh Market and Thien Hau Pagoda. Tomorrow we visit the Mekong Delta by taking boat trips to local floating markets, villages and home industries.

Day 4: Saigon

Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels and Tay Ninh, to experience the midday service at the head temple of the unique Cao Dai religion.

Day 5: Saigon to Nha Trang

Fly to Nha Trang, visit the Cham Tower Ruins.

Day 6: Nha Trang

Cruise the islands off Nha Trang visiting the Tri Nguyen Aquarium, Tam Island and a local fishing village.

Days 7-8: Nha Trang to Hoi An

Fly to Danang and transfer to Hoi An stopping at the Cham Museum, Marble Mountains and China Beach en route. Tomorrow enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An. Visit an old merchant’s home, the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese pagoda.

Days 9-10: Hoi An to Hue

Drive to Hue and visit the Imperial Citadel. Tomorrow visit Dong Ba Market, cruise the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh tombs and enjoy a cooking class.

Days 11-12: Hue to Hanoi

Fly to Hanoi and enjoy a Water Puppets performance this evening. Tomorrow we visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Stilt House and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, Hoan Kiem Lake, Temple of Literature and the old quarter.

Days 13-14: Overnight Halong Bay

Travel to Halong Bay spending the night onboard a junk boat before returning to Hanoi the next day.

Day 15: Depart Hanoi

Transfer to the airport and board our overnight flight back to Australia.

Day 16: Arrive Australia

Arrive home this morning.
