Delhi to the Taj Mahal

Agra is a sprawling city located 240km from Delhi and is most famous for being the home of the beautiful Taj Mahal. The Taj was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal and attracts some four million local and international visitors each year.
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI
Make your own way to your Delhi hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
DAY 2: DELHI
Enjoy a tour of Old and New Delhi. Start in Old Delhi where you will see India Gate and the Red Fort. Continue with a visit to the 16th-century Humayun’s Tomb and Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple, dedicated to the ‘Goddess of Wealth’.Walk through Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. End the day with a visit to Connaught Place Markets for some shopping. (B,L)
DAY 3: DELHI TO AGRA
Leave Delhi this morning and drive to Agra, stopping at Sikandra en route to visit the marble tomb of Akbar. (B,L)
DAY 4: AGRA
Early this morning view the Taj Mahal as the sun is rising. Later you will visit Agra Fort. (B,L)
DAY 5: AGRA TO DELHI
Transfer to your Delhi hotel or airport where your arrangements end. (B)
