This tour grants you the opportunity to explore some of China’s most treasured natural wonders, allowing you access into a world that few people get the chance to experience.

The summit of Mt. Huang is often referred to by locals as ‘an ink scroll painting come to life’. Embark on a photographer’s dream journey to Zhangjiajie, often described as a ‘goddess dancing on a heavenly stage’ where you will be greeted by breathtaking scenery.

Your tour will take you to a part of China that is unknown to many Westerners; the wonderful Nine Villages Valley. Ms. Wendy Wu has described this area as one of the most beautiful places she has ever been to. Once visited, she said that it lures you back for more! The scenery here is stunning and is a true paradise for photographers and artists.

DAYS 1-2: AUSTRALIA TO SHANGHAI

Fly overnight with Singapore Airlines to Shanghai for a two-night stay.

DAY 3: SHANGHAI

Enjoy a full-day tour to explore the exciting city of Shanghai today. Visit the Yu Gardens, walk through the Old Town, and see the Pudong area. Later you will see the antiques and fine arts at Shanghai Museum and stroll along the famous Bund. This evening you will cruise along the stunning Huangpu River.

DAY 4: SHANGHAI TO TUNXI

Explore the restored area of Xintiandi with its unique 1920s-style ‘shikumen’ buildings. Later you will be transferred to the railway station to board your overnight sleeper train to Tunxi.

DAY 5: TUNXI TO MT. HUANG

Arrive in Tunxi this morning and take a cable car to the summit of Mt. Huang for an overnight stay.

DAY 6: MT. HUANG TO TUNXI

Descend from the summit of Mt. Huang today and travel back to Tunxi at the foot of the mountain.

DAY 7: TUNXI TO CHANGSHA

Drive to the town of Hangzhou this morning, where you will board your flight to Changsha.

DAY 8: CHANGSHA TO ZHANGJIAJIE

You will continue your journey this morning to Zhangjiajie.

DAYS 9-10: ZHANGJIAJIE

Over the next two days you will embark on a photographer’s dream journey. Enjoy breathtaking scenery exploring the UNESCO World Heritage listed Zhangjiajie area, which offers a mix of spectacular limestone formations, sub-tropical forests, waterfalls and mountain ranges.

DAY 11: ZHANGJIAJIE TO CHANGSHA

Leave Zhangjiajie today and return to Changsha for an overnight stay.

DAY 12: CHANGSHA TO GUIYANG

Fly to Guiyang today, home to many colourful ethnic minority groups. This afternoon enjoy a city tour.

DAY 13: GUIYANG TO ZHENGYUAN

Today you will take a scenic train ride to the town of Zhengyuan. Enjoy a tour to the Green Dragon Cave, the pinnacle of Taoist temples.

DAY 14: ZHENGYUAN

Explore the scenic Tiexi area where you will stroll along the ancient walkway and visit the ancient well and the 300-year-old Fu family residence.

DAY 15: ZHENGYUAN TO GUIYANG

Cruise along the Wuyang River this morning before returning by train to Guiyang for an overnight stay.

DAY 16: GUIYANG TO GUILIN

Today you will tour the Huangguoshu Waterfall before transferring to the airport to board your flight to Guilin.

DAY 17: GUILIN TO YANGSHUO

Cruise along the Li River as you travel to the town of Yangshuo for an overnight stay. Spend the evening walking the cobblestone streets.

DAY 18: YANGSHUO TO GUILIN

Enjoy a morning visit to the local markets and wander through this charming town before returning to Guilin. This evening you will watch a display of traditional cormorant fishing.

DAY 19: GUILIN TO CHENGDU

Visit the stunning Reed Flute Caves and Mt. Diecai for views of the surrounding karst landscape. Later you will board your flight to Chengdu for an overnight stay.

DAYS 20-21: CHENGDU TO NINE VILLAGES VALLEY

Fly to the breathtaking Nine Villages Valley (Jiuzhaigou), a botanical gallery that is heavily forested and home to many protected species. Entering the valley is like being transported into a different world, where crystal clear lakes gather at the foot of every waterfall. You will stay in the valley for two nights to further explore its beauty.

DAY 22: NINE VILLAGES VALLEY TO CHENGDU

Visit the Huanglong Temple at the peak of the Huanglong Mountain. Huanglong is also called ‘Five-Coloured Pools’ and has some of the most amazing ponds located behind the temple. From here you will drive to the airport to board your flight to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province.

DAY 23: CHENGDU

This morning you will visit the famous Panda Research Centre to see these adorable animals being reared in surroundings reminiscent of their natural habitat. You will also visit the Sanxingdui Museum later this afternoon.

DAY 24: CHENGDU

Visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project today. In the 3rd Century BC the project succeeded in capturing flood waters for use during the drought periods, linking the inaccessible region with the Grand Canal and the far corners of the kingdom. Your dinner this evening includes a sample of renowned Sichuan cuisine.

DAY 25: DEPART CHENGDU

This morning is free at your leisure before you are transferred to Chengdu airport to board your overnight flight to Australia.

DAY 26: ARRIVE AUSTRALIA

Arrive home this morning.
