TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE PATNA

Upon arrival at Patna airport this morning you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Patna, visiting Gol Ghar, one of the oldest British structures in the city, and Kumhrar, the remains of the ancient city of Pataliputra. (L)

DAYS 2-3: PATNA TO BODHGAYA

Travel to Bodhgaya this morning, visiting Nalanda University and Rajgir en route. (B,L) Tour Bodhgaya tomorrow including a visit to the Bodhi Tree where it is believed that Buddha reached enlightenment 2,540 years ago. You will also visit Vajrasana, the ancient railings, Chankaramana, Animeshlochana, Ratnagar and the Lotus at the Mahabodhi Temple. (B,L)

DAY 4: BODHGAYA TO VARANASI

Drive to Varanasi today. This evening take a rickshaw ride to the famous ghats of Varanasi to witness the Puja ceremony of Ganga Aarti. (B)

DAY 5: VARANASI

Enjoy an early morning boat ride along the holy River Ganges. After breakfast at the hotel commence a tour of the city, visiting the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple and the new Vishwanath Temple located in the Banaras Hindu University. This afternoon visit Sarnath where it is believed Buddha delivered his first sermon. (B,L)

DAY 6: DEPART VARANASI

After check-out this morning you will be transferred to Varanasi airport where your arrangements end. (B)
