Sichuan Explorer

From $3,718 - 14 Days, Fully Inclusive from selected Australian cities

China remains a nation of diverse landscapes and cultures. Join us on this incredible tour through the province of Sichuan. The scenery you will encounter along the way will surprise you. Located in southwest China, Sichuan is bordered by the Tibetan Plateau in the west, the Three Gorges and the Yangtze River in the east and Yunnan Province to the south.

Sichuan is known as the ‘land of abundance’ and has three places on the UNESCO World Cultural and World Heritage lists; Nine Villages Valley (Jiuzhaigou), Huanglong Valley and Mt. Emei. The name Jiuzhaigou refers to the nine Tibetan villages that are situated within the valley. Huanglong Valley has some of the most stunning scenery in the world and Mt. Emei is regarded as one of Buddhism’s most sacred and China’s most remarkable mountains.

Known for its landscape and legendary Buddhist sites, this mountain kingdom will certainly delight all who visit.

Wendy Wu Tours Review: (Also see Part 3 of the videos above)

"This tour was a wonderful experience, visiting some of the most beautiful places in the world.  Juizhaigou Park is spectacular, with its multi coloured lakes surrounded by breath taking mountains.  We drove up to Mt Emei, the last part through clouds, then climbed hundreds of steps to a large cable car, which took us almost to the top where we saw the impressive Golden Buddha.  Ancient Buddhist rock sculptures and carvings at Boadin and Beishan, and the huge stone Buddha at Leshan made us wonder how ancient artisans were able to complete such enormous works.  And then the Pandas, kept in such beautiful surroundings, with plenty of room for visitors to watch, wonder or relax.

Jesson our National Guide, is an asset to Wendy Wu - such a capable, friendly and engaging young man, with a passion to share his love of this wonderful country.  Mr Zhu, our driver, kept the bus spotless and safely negotiated some very difficult mountain roads as well as the challenging city traffic.  China is entrancing."
