We were, I guess, lucky to have a national tour guide, who's English name was Elsie. There are not enough superlatives in my vocabulary to express my thanks and gratitude to this young woman. Elsie smoothed out the the bumps and ironed out the wrinkles to make our tour a smooth, professional, linear experience. From the moment I was picked up at Beijing airport to the moment I boarded the plane home at Shanghai, Elsie or another member of the tour grew was there to care for me and the group.
