Declared the official summer capital of the British Raj in India in 1864, Shimla is surrounded by forests of pine, rhododendrons and oak. Leaving behind neo-gothic-styled, tudorbethan and colonial eras, Shimla has become a popular destination due to British influence. Although Shimla is a year round destination, the best times to visit are from December to January for a winter stay and April to August for a break from the Indian summer.
This is a private short stay package for the independent traveller.
