Medellin Holidays

An excellent, well-thought through tour of a country with amazing scenery and very friendly people. This is a country which has come out of a very difficult past, dominated by drug cartels, violence and intimidation. In just a fortnight we were taken to three social projects in Medellin and Cartagena to witness how music can help keep youngsters out of trouble and provide work and respectability for abused women - we joined them all. In the UNESCO recognised coffee country we picked coffee beans, we ate some excellent meals in amazing restaurants, enjoyed a beautiful sunset catamaran cruise in a Cartagena bay and looked in awe at the unique wax palms in Valle Del Cocora. Our guide/manager, Johan, was with us throughout the tour, as well as local guides in Pereira, Medellin, Santa Marta and Cartagena. Johan set up a WhatsApp group and still sends us messages now we are back in the UK. He couldn't help us enough. A highly recommended Discovery tour. Congratulations Wendy Wu Tours!
