This was a busy, intensive holiday with a lot of internal travelling but the organisation was impeccable and allowed us to get an overview of the country which would have been impossible any other way. We stayed in comfortable, modern hotels and had an excellent guide. We saw ancient monuments, vibrant modern cities and vast stretches of desert, which enabled us to imagine how it would have been for travellers along the ancient Silk Road. Absolutely everything was included in the cost of the holiday; there were no hidden extras.

Hotels excellent with exception of Continental Samarkand. Not the same standard as other hotels on the tour.
Recommend voice box for travellers as guide had to compete with other guides to be heard

Had a wonderful time on the Gems trip to China, organised by Wendy Wu and met some lovely like minded people. The hotels were all of a good standard and our national guide, CiCi, was brilliant. Her friendly, cheerful personality was infectious and she did well to keep the group together so no one was ever left behind. A credit to the Wendy Wu team.

Had various questions regarding a 21-day Silk Road trip for May 2027.
Natasha answered all questions professionally and in part based on her own personal knowledge.
She advised that she would need to refer to the local, guide on one question (the state of some of the roads) which could take 24-hours before responding. A detailed response followed well within that timeframe.
