This community of four villages: Murqmeli, Chashashi, Chvibiani and Shibani lie along the river, covering two kilometres. Surrounded by alpine valleys, gorges and snow-capped mountains, the Shkhara glacier lies only 8km away from the highest village of Shibiani.

Ancient Svan defensive towers and dilapidated two-storey stone buildings are still visible in some of these villages.
