Considered some of Asia’s best wildlife viewing, Chitwan National Park is the refuge of many rare and native species including one-horned rhinos, Bengal tiger, deer, monkeys and over 554 species of bird. The park was originally established as a rhino sanctuary with over 500 hundred individuals living amongst the dense jungle and tall grass of this Terai lowland area. It is the sub-tropical climate of this region that provides the perfect conditions for the vast amount of flora and fauna here, making your chance of making a once-in-a-lifetime spot all the better.
