First experience with them at one of their Roadshows and thought they seem an excellent company…
Had not heard of them before but the presentation was very informative and made us change our mind on a trip we had already seen to book with a different company but after seeing what a great company and how much they put into their tours and the way they look after you with local tour guides etc it was a no brainer we completely changed our minds and booked our trip to China with them and so pleased we have and Julia and the team were very helpful and friendly so glad we found Wendy Wu

Everything about the tour was excellent, the tour guide Amanda was better than excellent, everything was well organised and punctual. All in all everything was first class - except the flights.

We flew from the UK with Air China, the way they operate international flights is to load the passengers onto the plane and when the cabin doors are closed they then start loading the luggage and cargo, the result is that the first two hours in the plane is on the ground with only a sip of water being served (no alchohol on Air China flights).

In our case the outward flight to Beijing was late arriving so the baggage was not transfered to the connecting flight and was missing when we arrived in Shanghai, no clothes or toiletries . The return was exactly the same, two hours late arriving at LHR. We wondered why the flights were full of Chines students and no westerners! Air China - never again.

Wendy Wu - drop Air China, they are not doing you any favours and are not to your standard.

Gems of China

Looked at several Wendy wu tours to China but this one seemed to cover a lot of what we wanted to see . Did not disappoint, very well organised by our fantastic tour guide Penny and aided by brilliant local guides . She really helped the group gel with her positive outlook and happy personality. Nothing was to much trouble and every experience amazing .
We were lucky to share the trip with a great group of people and have many great memories .
It is a very full on tour which we expected from the itinerary. It was lovely to dine out in local restaurants and try some local dishes .
Well done Wendy wu and especially Penny .

We attended a Wendy Wu Tours presentation event which was extremely informative. We had lots of questions and the team were able to answer everything. We didn’t feel at all pressured to book anything on the day but we had done some prior research, all of our questions were answered satisfactorily and they were able to accommodate our additional requirements regarding outbound and return stopover arrangements. We therefore felt happy to make a booking and pay our deposit. Since the event we’ve had some follow up questions which were dealt with promptly and efficiently over the phone. We are now very excited and looking forward to our trip with confidence that we have made a good choice.

I had a few questions and my call was taken by a really cheerful, friendly person who was able to answer my queries. I made my decision later in the day and phoned to make my booking and spoke to the same person. The booking was made and confirmed by email straight aways. I have full confidence that I have made the right choice as everything is covered. They even sort out the visa.
I just have to wait for the holiday which is many months away.
