This was our first tour with Wendy Wu Tours and it was faultless in every way. The itinerary is amazing and it is complimented with great hotels and an abundance of quality food but most of all incredible tour guides.

The Winter Wonderland Tour includes Shanghai (Christmas Lunch, Dinner, Christmas Markets and the lights of Pudong and the Bund), Chengdu (Panda’s & Hot Pot), Xi’An (Terracotta Warriors & Tang Dynasty entertainment), Beijing (Palaces, History, The Great Wall day & night) & Harbin (Ice & Snow Festival).

Our tour leader Addison ensured that every aspect of our trip was perfect, the job he did for us is truly appreciated because there was nothing that could have been done better for us. The organisation was perfect and we were treated like VIP’s at every location we visited.

I would highly recommend this tour and especially Wendy Wu Tours for China, they will ensure you see the magic of China and come away with a true appreciation of this great Country and it’s people and history.

My highlight was walking different sections of the Great Wall both at night and the day. You will also meet other wonderful fellow travellers who became your family during the tour.

Thank you to Wendy Wu, Addison (the most handsome man in China), Troy (with his soft ears), Cindy (Spicy Lady), Summer (Warriors, changing face masters & Tang Dynasty fun), Jade (“so sorry head cut off” history expert) & Sherry (sub zero fun). You are all the special magic of the tour and did an amazing job for us.

If you want to see China but also experience the Winter Wonderland of the Harbin Ice Festival, this is the tour you must book, you will leave very satisfied.

This was an amazing trip from start to finish. Our leader Lizwe, always went the extra mile to make sure our trip ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. Our hi-light was being able to go up Table Mountain on Xmas Day. We were meant to go 2 days earlier but due to very strong wind the cable car was not running.
The safari in Krugar NP was wonderful. We got to see the 'big 5' in the first 3 safari drives.
All our accomodation was excellent and meals delicious.

I travelled with a friend Christine Beesley and we paid separately and had our own rooms so paid single supplement too!
The tour is amazing but there was a disconnect between what Wendy Wu organised and what the local agent Thompson organised!!!
On arrival in Johannesburg after an overnight flight and hardly any sleep we were welcomed at the airport and had a taxi transfer to the hotel, but there was only one room booked!!!! they expected us to share and it too two hours and us proofing the single room supplement PLUS four phone calls by ME to the local agent and finally Wendy Wu in the UK to resolve this!!!

We were sitting in the lobby and did not meet our guide till 6pm that evening.

Not a good start. We discussed this with our guide and he promised to make sure all the other hotel bookings would be correct.
But it happened again at the Safari Lodge hotel and at the Cape Town hotel! Each time WE had to point it out and get it fixed and it took time to do so.

At the safari lodge we were supposed to have a drumming and dancing show which did not happen and again there were two dinners on our Wendy Wu itenary which our guide did not know about. The group had to prove it to him and then it was organised at the last minute.

Loved the tour and hotels, but not up to your normal high standard.

On the whole this was an amazing trip, marred but a disappointing Christmas Day. What was supposed to be a trip highlight turned out to be a fly-ridden starter, followed by a cold roast dinner and an OK dessert. All served next to the toilet! There were tables available in the restaurant that would have accommodated us. Looking at the reviews, it looks like the Vineyard only puts tours by the smelly toilets!

We had a wonderful time. The trip was well organised and the chosen destinations were very interesting. The highlights were Kruger and Table Mountain on Christmas morning

This was a holiday-of-a-lifetime for us. Our guide, Ajith Foneska, was outstanding. His interpersonal skills were brilliant as was his knowledge of his beloved homeland.
The experiences were incredible-temple visits, safaris, forest walks, river trips, tuk tuk rides, tea plucking, tropical beaches, local craft exhibitions, visits to sanctuaries ( elephant and turtle) , luxurious hotels and delicious cuisine. ( I could go on. )

Tour size 26 too large a group for me
Age range 24years to 85 years too wide for fitness ability ie walking and climbing Average walking pace too fast for me
Food was excellent however both dinner and lunch Japanese cuisine was too much

I am a Vietnamese born in Saigon. I left the country long before the end of the war, and have never been back until now, which is more than half a century ago. I chose to travel now rather than wait until tomorrow. Life moves so quickly—another few years and the pace of change might have outstripped my memories. It was a joy to walk through places I never dared venture during the war, places once too dangerous to even imagine visiting.
I am also glad that I’ve picked the Wendy Woo Tour. Your local guide, Mr Hội Đổ, is excellent, with a strong knowledge of local history and culture. He is also an understanding and patient person who recognised each tour member’s needs, always with a smile on his face, even in the most difficult and sometimes annoying situations.
All in all, I am thrilled to recommend Wendy Tour to all my friends and family.

I loved the service I received from Wendy Wu - from start to finish communication was not ever an issue. Last minute plans for a Christmas trip and Wendy Wu made it happen. Nothing was an issue.. I know there was not much lead time but fabulous service and all taken care of.

Responded by email and received a prompt reply.

The booking process was thorough and comprehensive. My questions were answered without me feeling I was a nuisance. This is my 3rd booking with Wendy Wu so I was lucky enough to get a loyalty discount too.
