Glamorous Chongqing Drone Show

Most Saturday nights and on major holidays, the sky over downtown Chongqing, where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers meet, is full of thousands of drones flying in an intricate ariel display. Alongside the city’s towering skyscrapers, that are lit up in coordinating light show, this immersive audiovisual spectacular is choreographed to show city landmarks, cultural symbols and even local cuisine, and to celebrate national and international holidays.

Head to the waterfront around Jiangbeizui, Chaotianmen, Nanbin Road or the Riverside Bridge for the best views of this 18-minute show. On June 17, 2025, the show became a Guinness World Record holder for the ‘Largest Aerial Image Formed by Drones’, using 11,787 perfectly coordinated drones.
