Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1

Upon arrival, make your own way to your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure.

  • Day 2

Travel by road to Dazu, home to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dazu Rock Carvings. Located in southeast Sichuan Province, Dazu is reputed as 'the county of rock carving'. The steep hillsides of the Dazu contain an exceptional series of rock carvings dating from the 9th to the 13th-century and are some of the best preserved in China. Here, you'll find thousands of Buddhist, Taoist and Confucianist idols and symbols carved into rock faces in over 70 sites. Enjoy the day in Dazu before returning to Chongqing. (B,L)

  • Day 3

Wander amongst the dramatic karst landscapes, that include three naturally-formed stone bridges, narrow gorges, caves and limestone formations. (B,L)

  • Day 4

Return to Chongqing and enjoy a soak in some of the region's hot springs. (B,L)
