Harbin Ice & Snow Festival

Discover Harbin's annual Ice and Snow Festival, one of the oldest and largest in the world, where intricate sculptures and snowy landscapes come together to create a winter wonderland like no other. Also marvel at the unique Russian architecture and religious monuments of St Sophia Cathedral and Central Avenue.

Running from mid-December to late February, this is the perfect extension to our 'A Glimpse of China' private tour, taking in the must-see sights of China.

    Day 1: Arrive Harbin

    Make your way to Harbin airport or railway station where will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and prepare for the magical Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. Running from December to February, it is the world's largest ice and snow festival.

    Day 2: Harbin

    Head to the popular Ice and Snow World, to wander among the illuminated full-size buildings built entirely of ice and astounding snow and ice sculptures. Later, tour the city centre, filled with grand European-style buildings, including Central Avenue and Sophia Cathedral.

    Day 3: Harbin

    Visit the Shong Hua River, where you can observe ice water swimming, ice windsurfing and other winter activities. Then, head across to Sun Island, to see the enormous snow sculptures set in its landscaped grounds. Later, mingle with people from all over the world at the Ice Lantern Festival, to admire more spectacular ice carvings brought to life through beautiful illuminations.
