The city is also home to notable attractions such as Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and modern landmarks like Fukuoka Tower, and serves as the gateway to Kyushu, Japan’s third-largest island.
Travel to Fukuoka, the gateway to Kyushu. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure before a night walking tour of the Nakasu, Fukuoka entertainment area. This evening is at leisure – if you wish, why not stay in the Nakasu district longer and sample the yatai food independently?
Begin your adventure with a visit to the Kyushu National Museum, where you’ll gain an insight into its long and storied history. Stroll in the arcade or Dazaifu Teman-gu Shrine. Followed by lunch and wine tasting at a local winery. Return to Fukuoka this afternoon and visit Fukuoka Tower.
