Begin the day at the Miraflores Locks Visitor Centre, watching ships navigate one of the world's greatest engineering marvels. Proceed to watch a documentary that brings the Panama Canal's remarkable history and global significance to life. Drive the Amador Causeway for sweeping views of the city skyline and Pacific Ocean, then head to atmospheric Casco Viejo for lunch. This afternoon, explore the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site on a guided walking tour, taking in its striking blend of colonial, neoclassical and French architecture. Round off the day with a guided Geisha coffee tasting, sampling beans processed three different ways, paired with handcrafted coffee-infused desserts.
Head to Chagres National Park and board a traditional wooden piragua canoe with members of the Emberá community, gliding through the rainforest waterways of the Chagres River. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as monkeys, butterflies, herons and turtles amongst the dense tropical vegetation before arriving at the village for a warm welcome. Explore the community's distinctive stilted homes, admire handicrafts woven from natural fibres and learn about their deep connection with the rainforest. Take a short boat trip to a nearby island inhabited by monkeys. After a traditional lunch, enjoy a vibrant Emberá folkloric performance before returning to Panama City.
Explore the rich ecosystems of Soberanía National Park with an expert guide, following lush rainforest trails in search of colourful tropical birds, playful monkeys and exotic plant species. Later, head to Gatun Lake, one of the world's largest artificial lakes and a key part of the Panama Canal system. Cruise its tranquil waters surrounded by dense rainforest, keeping watch for crocodiles, monkeys and abundant birdlife as the spectacular scenery unfolds around you.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

On most tours, you can choose our 'Happy to Share' option, which may enable you to share a twin room with other solo customers of the same gender who also request Happy to Share. If a share partner is found, the Single Supplement will be removed from your booking. If a share partner is not found, the Single Supplement will remain and is payable with your final balance.
If you are booking on a Dedicated Solo departure, a single room is already included in the price and there are no additional single supplements to pay.
