You'll travel with the assurance that all your arrangements are taken care of. Transfer to Halong Bay to embark your Pandaw cruise ship. Anchor for the evening among the magnificent limestone islets of the bay. (B,L,D)
Note: Seat-in-coach pick up from Hanoi airport is at midday. For passengers already in Hanoi, registration is at the Sofitel Plaza Hanoi at 1000hrs.
Rise early for a magnificent sunrise. Visit a floating village and limestone caves. (B,L,D)
Continue cruising in Halong Bay. Later, enter the Duong River and cruise to Pha Lai. (B,L,D)
Cruise to Duc Tai Village and meet a local family. Continue along Thai Binh River. In the afternoon, explore Thanh Ha community and enjoy a Water Puppets performance. (B,L,D)
Take a walking tour of Ninh Giang village. Continue to Stork’s Island and return to the ship for lunch. (B,L,D)
Arrive in Hanoi. Explore the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and the Vietnam War Prison (AKA the Hanoi Hilton). (B,L,D)
Visit Bat Trang ceramic village. Cruise from Hanoi up the Red River to Viet Tri. Discover timeless Vietnam with emerald green rice paddies punctuated by limestone rock formations. See the Thay and Tay Phuong pagodas, dating from the 8th and 11th centuries. (L,D)
Cruise to the conical hat-making village of Gia Thanh. Continue by bus to Hung Lo
Admire the unspoilt beauty of the Da River. Pass Ba Vi National Park before arriving at Hoa Binh. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage village of Duang Lam. (B,L,D)
Hoa Binh is home to the Muong ethnic group. Take a boat ride on the reservoir of Hoa Binh power station and visit a local village. This evening, enjoy a traditional performance. (B,L,D)
Disembark after breakfast (0830hrs) and visit a museum and village. Have lunch at a
local restaurant, then transfer to Hanoi airport (estimated arrival time at the airport is 1700hrs) or drop off point Sofi tel Plaza Hanoi (estimated arrival time at the hotel is 1800hrs). (B,L)
