Wadi Rum

Amazing holiday started in Egypt with Cairo. The Pyramids & Sphinx took your breath away and the new museum GEM is fantastic.
My father fought in WWII at El Alamein so this was a personal part for me. Alexandria was different as it’s on the Med. The Nile Cruise was so relaxing with the pool getting used daily. The temples, hieroglyphics, cartouches, statues, Valley of the Kings with Seti I Tomb the most amazing. The best of the temples was Abu Simbel in such a beautiful setting with Temple of Philae also beautiful in Nubia. Our guide Egyptologist Yousef was amazing and his associate Shady was so good too.
Jordan with a new guide, Mohammed who was brilliant. We visited several Roman ruins in Jerash & Amman, mosaics in Madaba, the unbelievable Petra, atmospheric Wadi Rum and floated in the Dead Sea.
Our fellow travellers were a great crew and we had lots of laughs and many group photos.
The hotels were of a high quality as you would expect from Wendy Wu.
Two and a half weeks of incredible sights, smells, lots of shopping in the bazaars.

Wendy Wu tours are just brilliant from the start to the end . We saw so much in Jordan and learnt so much about the history, culture and traditions of this beautiful country . We had a very small group of 10 which was great. We felt safe the whole time so please don’t cancel or not book because of the present situation as this country is very safe.
Highlights were Petra and staying overnight in Wadi Rum desert.
