Holiday FAQ's

The Booking Process

Q. When will my booking be confirmed?
A. Once we receive your deposit, your place on tour will be confirmed. We will also confirm any additional arrangements such as pre and post tour accommodation. This usually takes 3-5 days and can vary depending on the destination and if there are any holiday periods. We will then send you an updated invoice showing your deposit payment, along with a Booking Form, Visa Application Form and Medical Information Form to be completed. These forms can also be accessed via our website. It is important your name appears as per your passport on your Booking Form and we receive this as soon as possible once your booking is confirmed.

Q. Can special requests be arranged?
A. We will do our best to accommodate your special request. Please advise us of any medical requirements, special meal requests, special needs, or mobility impairment at time of booking.

Q. When will I receive my tour documentation?
A. Two weeks before you travel you will receive your final documentation, including a detailed day-by-day itinerary, hotel list, travel guide and phrasebook, as well as a suggested packing list. You will also receive your passport back, complete with the relevant visas.

Q. Are there any health precautions or vaccinations that I need?
A. We recommend you see your doctor at least six weeks prior to travel for advice and to allow time for any necessary vaccinations. Please remember to take your itinerary with you.

A. We want you to have the best tour experience possible, so you should be in reasonably good health and be able to participate in all activities unaided. Q. I am a solo traveller – do I have to pay a single supplement?
A. At Wendy Wu Tours we understand that some solo travellers would happily share a room on tour to avoid paying an additional supplement. If you are a solo traveller who is willing to share, Wendy Wu Tours will match you up with another solo traveller of the same gender on your tour and neither of you will pay the Single Hotel Room Option. If we are unable to find another solo traveller who is willing to share, we will waive the Single Hotel Room Option. If you are a solo traveller and prefer to have a private room during your group tour, you can pay a Single Hotel Room Option. This covers hotel nights only. Separate supplements apply and cruise nights. Please contact us for further details

Q. Will I be travelling with passengers from other countries?
A. Our passengers generally enjoy the mixture of Australian and British clients on tour. Occasionally we are joined by English speaking passengers from other countries.

A. The dress code while on tour is very relaxed; however please note that clothing covering the arms and legs may be more appropriate when visiting religious buildings. We suggest smart casual attire for the evenings.

Q. What should I expect when travelling in Asia?
A. We plan our tours to ensure that your holiday is safe and trouble free and we are continually working with our local partners to maintain and improve health and safety standards. Overseas travel brings new experiences and varied environments and sometimes this means different safety and hygiene standards to those we are used to in Australia. We therefore ask that you take care; pay attention at all times and use your common sense. You are also requested to refer to notices and follow advice from your National Escort or Local Guide.

Q. Are there ever closures to attractions/sites outlined in tours?

Such closures may impact the ability to visit such attractions during your tour. Wendy Wu Tours will do their utmost to provide advance notice in these circumstances, however such closures are out of our control. Alternative touring will be arranged should this occur.
