Experience the best of this diverse land on a tour that perfectly mixes the majestic
landscapes of Patagonia and the Lake District, with the temptations of tango and
delectable local food and wine.
Our Argentina Adventure itinerary has been intricately designed for those who wish to see iconic sites and magnificent treasures. You'll travel with the assurance that all your arrangements are taken care of, with international flights, accommodation and all the touring listed below. You will be accompanied by our industry-leading National Escorts whose unparalleled knowledge and talent will turn your tour into an unforgettable experience.
Fly to Argentina's flamboyant capital city Buenos Aires, arriving the same day due to crossing the International Date Line. You will be met at the airport and transferred
to your hotel to relax and refresh before the welcome dinner this evening. (D)
An irresistible combination of Latin flair and European elegance, Buenos Aires is a delight to explore and that's exactly what you'll do today on a city tour. This will
include the vibrant districts of La Boca, San Telmo and Recoleta. Later, enjoy a quintessential Argentine experience: the tango! Enjoy dinner and a sultry tango show. (B,D)
Fly from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia. Sat on the edge of the Tierra del Fuego, facing the waters of the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia is considered the world's southernmost city and has dubbed itself the El Fin del Mundo, the End of the World. This afternoon, explore the Tierra del Fuego National Park. An exposed, barren archipelago, the Tierra del Fuego is at once picturesque, temperamental and mysterious. Wander amongst the lakes, peat bogs and rivers and admire the incredible views over the snow-capped mountains on the horizon. (B,D)
Board a vessel to spend the morning cruising the waters of the Beagle Channel. Gaze over the wild landscapes and spot sea lions speeding through the water and cormorants, albatrosses, skuas and petrels wheeling on the breeze. Later, take in the city of Ushuaia, passing along its steep streets, through jumbles of colourful buildings, watched throughout by the snowy peaks of the Martial Range. (B)
Transfer to the airport and fly to the charming town of El Calafate, sat prettily on the shores of Lago Argentino. (B,D)
Travel from El Calafate into Los Glaciares National Park, an area that encompasses a vast chunk of the Patagonian Continental Ice Field. Here you will visit the 30-kilometre-long, 5-kilometre-wide and 60-metre-high Perito Moreno Glacier. This juggernaut of ice is constantly in motion, huge chunks of ice regularly collapsing, with
great spectacle, into the lake below. Hop onto a boat for a cruise on Brazo Rico for a closer look! (B,L)
Fly from El Calafate to the city of Bariloche. Set in the spectacular surroundings of Nahuel Huapi National Park, Bariloche is in the heart of Argentina’s Lake District.
With an alpine atmosphere, it also produces Argentina's best chocolate! Later, discover this beautiful area for yourself with a short tour that showcases the
magnificent panoramas of the Andes and Lake Nahuel Huapi. Stop for a refreshing beer at a local beer house en route. (B,L)
Set sail on Lake Nahuel Huapi to Victoria Island. Land at Puerto Anchorena, where you can spend some time wandering the trails through beautiful nature. Continue by boat to Peninsula Quetrihue to explore the Bosque de Arrayanes, a forest of rare arrayán trees, completely unique in the world. Return to Bariloche. (B,D)
Fly from Bariloche to Mendoza. A lively, laidback and atmospheric city, Mendoza is the hub of Argentina's wine production. What better way to start your time here than a wine tasting at the hotel? (B)
Head just outside of the city to Maipú, the heart of one of Argentina's most important and oldest wine growing regions. Arrive at a wine estate where you'll be spending the day. Select fresh ingredients for a cooking class with the estate's chef, during which you'll be preparing typical Argentinian fare. Tour the winery whilst your creations cook before feasting on them for lunch, washed down with the estate's own wines. (B,L)
Transfer to the airport and fly back to Buenos Aires. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,D)
This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Australia, arriving home in 2 days due to crossing the International Date Line once again. (B)
All of our tour departures include international flights and taxes in the price. Our tour prices are from prices based on per person, twin share and are subject to the availability of specific economy class fare levels. If the dates we have available for this tour don't suit your needs, or you are not sure travelling as part of a group is for you, maybe a Private Tour would be more ideal.
