    Day 1: Arrive Launceston

    Welcome to Launceston. This afternoon, enjoy a cruise on the River Tamar before our 3 course welcome dinner at Cataract on Paterson.

    Tamar Valley
    Day 2: Tamar Valley

    Enjoy a day of indulgence as you visit award-winning cool climate wines at two to three picturesque cellar doors and chat with the owners. Relax as you enjoy a smorgasbord lunch of Tasmania's finest local produce with a glass of wine before transferring to Cradle Mountain Lodge in the heart of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. A private wine and cheese tasting on arrival only adds to this amazing day.

    Cradle Mountain
    Day 3: Cradle Mountain

    This morning take a leisurely 6.2km walk (3hrs) around Dove Lake where you will learn about the Aboriginal history of Tasmania, bush tucker plants, European settlement of the island, and the geological features around the lake. Later this evening enjoy a special Tasmanian Devils Nocturnal experience followed by a 3 course dinner with paired wines back at the lodge.

    Strahan
    Day 4: Strahan

    Enjoy a leisurely morning and breakfast before leaving Cradle Valley for your journey to the quaint fishing village of Strahan (approx. 2 hours drive). Along the way stop at Hogarth Falls for an easy stroll through an example of mixed forest to a picturesque waterfall. Tonight, gather with your group and walk to Risby Cove Gallery. Housed within a converted, century-old sawmill workshop featuring exposed-beam framework, this local gem boasts an eclectic collection of work by Tasmanian artists. Enjoy a guided Tasmanian gin tasting on arrival and a private tour by the curator, Ella followed by a 3 course dinner.

    Gordon River Cruise
    Day 5: Gordon River Cruise

    This morning following an early breakfast, board the award-winning Gordon River Cruise for a guided wilderness journey across Macquarie Harbour and up the Gordon River. After a chef-prepared lunch showcasing Tasmanian produce, explore the ruins of Sarah Island, once a dreaded penal colony and the largest boat building settlement in the British colonies. Your guide will recount astonishing stories of the convicts, soldiers, settlers and shipwrights who lived and worked there. Disembark after lunch and transfer south to Hobart (approx. 4 hours drive) arriving in the early evening. Later tonight, enjoy a visit to Shene Estate in Pontville. This stunning historic property is now an award-winning distillery. Sample some local whiskey and enjoy dinner at the estate.

    Bruny Island foodie experience
    Day 6: Bruny Island foodie experience

    Travel to Bruny Island for our day of all things food and wine! Be prepared for a delicious day out where you will enjoy award-winning cheeses, premium wines and beer, freshly shucked oysters, handcrafted whiskey and fudge, local honey and a delicious lunch at Pennicott's beachside restaurant with sweeping views of Adventure Bay.

    Hobart
    Day 7: Hobart

    Today we head out to Barilla Oyster Farm and learn about the cultivation of oysters before travelling by luxury catamaran to MONA (Museum of Old and New Art). Upon arrival, enjoy some time at leisure to roam the stunning subterranean architecture which showcases the highlights of David Walsh's $110m private collection. Later, depart on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Moorilla winery and vineyard. Sample wine as it's being made and delve into the backstory of Moorilla. Lastly, indulge in a delicious lunch with paired wine at Mona's flagship restaurant, Source, before heading back to Hobart by ferry. Later, transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
