Service rating : National guide was excellent, local guides were good mostly, Beijing Guide was like a robot, just repeating his information, not much inter-action with the group where others had. The tour is long & can be tiring (especially sitting on a coach) The evening shows which were mainly an addition to our itinerary, they were amateurish & not worth the money. As were the visits to pearl farm, silk factory, jade outlet, tea plantation.. little or no information about the product, more about getting you into the shop & getting your money spent on their products. To many visits to the markets.....seemed like the guide is having to take you to these places to bolster the national economy! 1 or 2 visits would have been acceptable....4 or 5......No!! They sell cheap rubbish....made in Asia! The food & hotels were all good, the country is very clean & you felt safe & secure where ever we went! All in all, a good experience, covering a vast area, but in doing so we compromised on Quality to get the quantity! We went to see the culture.....not the shops & rubbish they sold! Poor quality infill between the major attractions, maybe you should consider, some rural visits & more about the culture/real Chinese life style. That was the thought of ALL on our tour. Its wrong that I'm reporting the things I didn't like rather than the amazing things, places that were on offer!! That tells me.......you need to adjust, work on this tour Itinerary!
Product : HK a buzzing City, a short & to the point tour & left to our devises......a great start & full of enthusiasm at the start of our holiday......shame China was infilled with too much Low Quality (read above)........maybe China's not as 'open' as they like you to think!!?
